Enough to discover

In the 17th and 18th century many wealthy Amsterdam citizens built estates in the Watergraafsmeer district, of which only Frankendael remains. The Watergraafsmeer is still a green area in the East of Amsterdam, with many parks and fountains and green lanes with stately homes. This part of Amsterdam has attracted many artists and politicians over the years. The percentage of well-known Dutchmen is even by Amsterdam standards quite high.

There is a wide and varied range of lovely and delicious restaurants, cafés and bars. And there is plenty of opportunity for shopping. This residential area is also ideal for your daily groceries with nearby supermarkets that are open 7 days a week.

The Science Park Amsterdam is situated in the eastern part of ‘de Meer‘ along with many sports grounds and an ice rink.
